About Us

With flexible package industry experience dating back to 1981, MSI owner Greg Muldoon worked for many years for Lithotype Company in  Northern California.

Lithotype afforded Greg the opportunity to train in all aspects of the packaging industry.

For many years, he worked on the plant floor and served a 4 year  printing press apprenticeship through the Graphic Arts Union in San  Francisco.   Later, his role at the company changed from manufacturing  to sales.  The transtion included 18 months spent learning prepress  artwork management, production management, and was taught about adhesive  and extrusion lamination and the application material substrates used  in package laminations. Finally, he as was groomed in professional,  consultative sales via such programs as Pacific Bell (AT&T) Sales  Training & Dale Carnegie Sales Training.  Additional technical  training was provided by the Exxon Mobil film school in Rochester NY and  Klockner-Bartelt packaging machine school in Sarasota FL.  Tandem  Extrusion Lamination, Printing Presses and Packaging Machines (and  optimzing their operation) are favorite topics of ours!

In 2009, MSI Flexible Packaging was formed.  From the largest  companies we serve, to entrepreneurs just getting started, we strive to  share our expertise and knowledge to guide purchasing decisions and  achieve great outcomes.  For us, it’s all about people I speak with; and  the collaboration we share together.  It’s all about our customers.

We are located in the San Francisco Bay Area of Northern California  and serve customers across the United States with our international  network of suppliers.  We offer converting of materials using domestic  and imported package providers.  Now, with 35 years in the industry, MSI  Flexible Packaging supports our customers with all of their varied  needs.

Shelly Muldoon, a former  Hewlett-Packard programmer analyst and project manager, draws upon her  planning and implementation expertise to assist with production  coordination, logistics and other back-office functions.
